The Invention Changes It’s Purpose ( box # 6 )
paper mache and ink    25” high   28” wide  13” deep

The paper mache paste is made of flour, water and a few drops of clove oil (used to protect from insects and mildew). The surfaces and the structures of the sculptures are all papers of varying thicknesses. Each day I would write or paint on large sheets of paper and then tear up the writing into strips to use in the sculptures. Sometimes I would write to clear my head or about a certain topic. Other times I just liked the shape of certain letters , or in the case of this sculpture, endless loops. Most of what I write is torn up beyond recognition, but the writing does help me choose the title of the piece.
